Casual Zanzibar Royals, approximately 1955-1964
Zanzibar royalty were usually photographed in formal poses, often with medals and other
regalia.
However, there were a few more casual photographs taken of the royal family.
These are displayed here, primarily for the descendants of that extended family.
Unfortunately the photographer is unknown.
These photos now reside in the Zanzibar Archive building, located just south of Stone Town.
